Cold War Kids - Loyalty To Loyalty (2008)

Oy!

The Cold War Kids post is back again after a sudden disappearing. Don't know what the hell happened there. But now I've had time to listen to it and I must say that this is quite brilliant. It continues where Robbers And Cowards stopped, delivering fine melodies, not too richly instrumented and build up around Nathan Willett's fabulous voice. The last half of the record is genius, containing killers as Avalanche In B, Dreams Old Men Dream, Relief and the beautiful album closer, Cryptomnesia. These guys are huge in a couple of years.

This is the right link, somehow you copied and pasted it wrongly I think. You are absolutely right, these guys should be the next big thing, but I guess their music is a bit to complex for that. Anyway, have fun with tis brilliant band. If you have the chance to catch them live, you must do so. Live even more mezmerising and addictive

They actually play a gig in Copenhagen in not too long time, last time they played here they got the official title of "Best Concert On VEGA 2007" - VEGA is a cool Danish concert-club-thing..

About getting huge, well, I think the best thing they could do would be releasing Dreams Old Men Dream as a single - it has potential for gaining a lot of airplay and doesn't "lie" about Cold War Kids. It's a fucking brilliant song!
